Introduction

The job holder will develop and expand the structural engineering department together with the company's partners. He will assume overall responsibility for challenging projects in structural engineering and make a significant contribution to the further development of the site.

Project management and technical responsibility

• Management and processing of complex projects in structural engineering
• Structural planning for new builds, conversions and repairs
• Responsibility for all SIA project phases (planning to realisation)
• Development of structural concepts including calculations (supporting structure, excavations, foundations)
• Coordination of internal and external project participants and construction site inspections

Leadership and development

• Technical management and further development of the project teams
• Ensuring quality, deadlines and cost-effectiveness
• Promotion of junior engineers
• Supporting the expansion of the specialist area

Corporate responsibility

• Maintaining and expanding customer relationships
• Participation in the acquisition of new projects
• Representing the company to relevant stakeholders
• Contribution to strategic location development

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering recognised in Switzerland (ETH or FH) and around 8 to 10 years of sound professional experience in structural engineering. He or she will be proficient in the relevant SIA standards and the associated project phases and have demonstrable experience in the management of demanding, complex projects. In addition to his technical excellence, he is characterised by a strong entrepreneurial mindset and approach. He has the potential and ambition to take on further responsibility in the medium term in the sense of a site or partner role. A high level of initiative and convincing communication skills in dealing with customers, project partners and employees round off his profile.
